The Cowlitz County MG Demonstration Garden located at the Cowlitz County Fairgrounds was established in the 1980’s, was created by Master Gardeners to provide a working area to practice various gardening techniques. Today, the demonstration gardens, including many small beds, neighboring Cougar Cottage and Loowit Gardens, are still works in progress for the benefit of the Master Gardeners, hosting an occasional mini-class and maintaining environmentally suitable beds for annuals, perennials, blueberries, fruit trees and vegetables.
